The purpose of the Calcium Thiosulfate Chemical Feed System Project is to construct a chemical pump system to dechlorinate the treatment plant’s final effluent in the event of a wet weather discharge through the emergency outfall at the Old Alameda Creek. The new equipment will improve the accuracy of the chemical feed controls and simplify the operation of the emergency outfall system.
