USD is an award-winning independent special district formed in 1918 that provides wastewater collection services to the residents and businesses of Fremont, Newark and Union City. We provide services to more than 347,000 residents within a 60 square mile area. Our Mission is to safely and responsibly collect and treat wastewater for the Tri-Cities while protecting human health and improving the environment in a way that benefits our customers, employees and the community.
