Pat Kite holds wastewater credentials from Sacramento State University Office of Water Programs. She earned her B.S. from U.C. Medical Center, a Biology teaching credential from California State University East Bay, an M.S. in Communications from San Jose State University, and a J.D. from Northwestern California University School of Law.
In the almost 50 years Pat has lived in Newark, her Tri-City dedication has remained constant. In 2019, Assemblymember Kansen Chu honored her with a "Community Hero" award. Pat is also a Newark Viola Blythe Volunteer of the Year. Pat currently volunteers at MedShare, Newark Police Department "Raven", Tri-City Ecology [43! Years], Optimists, California School for the Deaf, OHS Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, and Friends of Heirloom Flowers. She is also a regular volunteer garden writer for our local Tri-City Voice Newspaper.
At Union Sanitary District, a multiple environmental award agency, Pat Kite currently serves on the Engineering and Information Technology Committee, the Personnel Committee, and the Audit Committee.
Pat was first elected to the Union Sanitary District Board in 1992. Her next election will be in 2024.
